Be careful what you wish for, you might get it. I never understood that fully until today. I'm been wishing I had a good excuse to go to Texas. I've been there, but only just across the state line from two neighboring states. There is a lot of Texas I haven't seen.

So today I got a good excuse to go. My sister flew to Austin to visit her son, and her daughter in California flew in from the other direction. But somewhere on the way to the feast, something went wrong. My sister had a heart attack. They think it was a mild one, but she is in the hospital and they are talking about stents and stuff. So Monday, by land or air, I guess we are bound for Texas.

It's hard to worry about somebody who has survived cancer twice, and has recovered from stuff like collapsed lungs, and has had a host of other little problems that failed to keep her down for long. But she is almost 75, so I guess prayers are in order.
