Well, I spent one year at a small private college up on top of a mountain, and by and large the professors there were awesome.

Then I went to the University of Phoenix, and found that perhaps 50% of the faculty just didn't care. They were not there to continue their own learning process, they were not open to changing their views, they were just ...The Man. If you asked questions that made them feel threatened, then they would Squash You Like The Bug That You Were.

In that kind of environment, any real learning that you did had to be outside of the classroom.
