> My Fair Lady is one of the best titles on there. Seriously, *is* there a better written musical? There's certainly not a more elegant one, or one with as much psychological complexity in the characters. Maybe you've just got a case of words, words, words, and you're so sick of them.

I've been in My Fair Lady twice now, and while it certainly has fun parts, I definitely would not call it one of the best. The whole ending kinda ruins it for me, for one thing- she went back to Higgins? What? After all that talk about being independent and not needing him, and we don't even get to see some character transformation or crisis that *makes* her go back? I don't buy it, sorry.

I feel no sympathy for Higgins as a character at all- he's just a jerk being a jerk for the fun of it- and I have barely more interest in Eliza. Sure, when Audrey gets all dolled up she looks real nice, but she's basically whiny and annoying. I'm no movie critic, but if I don't really care what happens to the two main characters, I can't say it's a particularly great show.

The only other thing I have to say about the list is that yes, Marlon Brando *definitely* trumps Reichard Gere, any day of the week.

~Mina "Most of the musicals I've been in were on that list. Coincidence?" moon
