> What islands have you been to, Howard? I've been to Jamaica myself when I was around 9 years old, and I don't remember much from it. I do know, however, that, yes, for the most part they do speak with that stereotypical accent that everyone seems to know about (That is by far the most often-asked question of me about that trip). In any case, I recommend vacationing there to anyone, it's really cool & you get to see all sorts of things you never thought you would see. Just wondering where you've been to.

That's a big question, considering that I have been traveling for decades. If you divide the earth up into four parts using the Equator, the Prime Meridian, and the International Dateline, then there is still 3/4 of the planet that I have yet to see. The northwest quadrent, north of the Equator and west of the Prime Meridian, is where all of my travels have taken place. I walked across the Prime Meridian about 50 feet in Greenwich, England once just so I could say I have been in the Eastern Hemisphere.

But I love islands. I have been to Jamaica three times, but those were always just a few hours when a cruise ship stopped there. I have yet to see Kingston, which is probably the "real" Jamaica. Ocho Rios and Montego Bay failed to impress me.

Hutchinson's Island near Ft. Pierce, Florida was my first island experience back in 1948, and I was hooked for life. Sinced then, I have been to Santa Catalina in California, England, most of the Caribbean islands, Cadillac Island, the Outer Banks of North Carolina, several islands up and down Inside Passage to Alaska, several islands in Mexico, and most of the Hawaiian Islands, the Florida Keys, and even Boblo Island in the Detroit River.

Longitude and latitude-wise, I have been east to 0 degrees, west to about 165 degrees, south to within about six degrees of the equator and north to almost 60 degrees. I did that without a map, so I might be off a little.

Someday I expect to go to Alcaraz, Manhattan, Nantucket, Padre Island, Iceland, Lanai, and (I'm dreaming now) New Zealand, and Cuba.

My favorites are Catalina, Molokai, Grand Cayman, Hutchinson's, Ocracoke, Key West and Key Largo, and England.
