Somebody who is old and nice will be one of the nicest people you could possibly meet. Somebody who is old and nasty will be one of the nastiest people you could possibly meet.

And there are some who are nice one day and nasty the next. But in my case, it isn't age. I've been that way all my life.;-)

I agree that some folks get unbearable as they age. But they know something you might not know, such as what parts are hurting. Or which family memeber is having a hard time. Old parts tend to hurt a little even if there is nothing seriously wrong. The older you get the more grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and cousins you have out there to worry about. If an old person has bad knees and family members in rehap or chemo, they have a right to be a little grumpy, but no right to take it out on other people.
