Reviews and Comments

Director Robert Zemeckis, a master at revisiting established genres and reinvigorating them with his special and unique touch, should have done better with this ghost story thriller. Unfortunately, there is nothing special or unique about it. Michelle Pfeiffer spends the first half of the movie creeping around, waiting for spooky things to happen; Harrison Ford spends it being absent whenever anything at all happens. The end contains predictable and unmoving twists and explanations. How come nobody realized this story wasn't going to cut it?
