Reviews and Comments

After Jack Benny made this movie, it became a notorious failure, a perception that Benny himself propagated quite avidly, as he found frequent opportunity to make self-deprecating quips about it. Its reputation is mostly undeserved, but it's no classic. Benny is fun to watch, but as he plays a naive angel, his lines aren't quite as cutting as they could be.
