Reviews and Comments

The combination of Katharine Hepburn and director George Cukor made ten films in 47 years, and most of them are good. Sylvia Scarlet is not. What went wrong? This film is not funny, and the performances are unusually poor. Hepburn spends much of the time posing as a boy. So disguised, she may never have been less watchable.
