This is the kind of movie where badguys take a building over, hold the Vice President hostage, and require large sums of money to be deposited into their own bank accounts or they'll shoot people. This is the kind of movie where the bystanding hero (Jean Claude Van Damme) has to do everything, because the CIA, FBI, and police force are either incompetent or corrupt. This is the kind of movie where there are a lot of close-ups of guns sliding across the floor, because the object of every action scene is either to kill the badguy with a handy prop or get the gun before he does and shoot him. This is the kind of movie where if the badguy does happen to get the gun first, he won't shoot the goodguy without gloating long enough for the goodguy to kill him with a surprise maneuver. This is the kind of movie where people come back from the dead to fight some more even though the trauma that was supposed to have killed him would have thrown his body into severe shock at the very least. This is the kind of movie where the badguys show how evil they are by casually shooting lots of innocent bystanders with sarcastically mournful expressions. This is the kind of movie where airborne vehicles fall to the ground at the constant speed of three inches per hour in order to stretch out the spectacle of the destruction it wreaks on its way. This is the kind of movie where multiple explosions can be happening outside a hockey rink, gunfire can be going on nonstop in the locker rooms, kitchen, etc, and an epic fistfight can be happening on the ceiling, and not one of the trillion people watching the game ever realizes anything's wrong.

This is not my kind of movie.
